Mercy Junior

We met Mercy when she was 6 years old, having never had any form of any

education. She know nothing about letters, numbers or even how to spell her name.

Her life was based on begging on the streets alongside her Grandmother. Now at 8

years old, Mercy can read and write at the same level as any other 8 year old girl in

Nigeria.

Satu Daniel

Satu is 13 years old, and we met him as a 10 year old roaming the streets around

Elegushi Beach. Like Mercy, Satu is now reading and writing almost to the same level

of his age-group peers.

The Truth is, most of our 30 Children mirror the stories of Mercy and Satu, and their

parents are grateful and relieved to have the support of the Oyenmwen-Rushton

Children Foundation
